Car history:
1) Super nice, super clean unmolested 1972 Corvette Stingray. Nicely equipped with tilt/telescopic wheel, ps, pb, pw, and A/C. This car is a head turner! Everything works on it as it should, even the clock! Has new battery, starter and exhaust. The A/C was just serviced and the radiator was flushed. This car starts, drives, shifts and accelerates as it should. It drives straight and true. You can let go of the wheel and until the road curves it will stay between the lines without any corrections for sometimes a mile. It never overheats and it gets very hot here. Sometimes over 110. The temp gauge has never gotten over 205. The oil pressure at idle is around 45 psi, and going down the road, I have never noticed it under 60 psi. The engine was replaced 5,000 miles ago for reasons unknown and I have receipts for the new engine and installation as well as thousands of $$ of receipts other things that were done to keep the car in tip top shape throughout the years. This car runs AS NEW, maybe better! There are no surprises whatsoever with this car. Seriously, I would drive it across country with absolutely no apprehension whatsoever. I have owned 6, C3 Corvettes and this is the tightest, nicest one I have ever owned! Mechanically the car is as close to perfect as you can get. The glass is original GM and in good condition with the Astro Ventilation side windows. The interior is also close to being perfect. There is a very small wear spot on the lower left seat back cushion that you really have to look for to see. The exterior/chrome is driver quality. The paint and chrome looks fantastic from a few feet away and people are always giving compliments. But if you look close there are imperfections that are worth mentioning. I have tried to capture them in the pictures. The body has a crack behind the right rear bumper that is 90 hidden by the bumper. You really have to be looking for it to find it without it being pointed out. Also on the front splitter there is a crack but you have to be laying underneath the front of the car in order to see it. The chrome is original and still has most of it's bling but it's still respectable. The odometer shows 41,000 miles and I can't guarantee they are original, however there are no indications that it has rolled over. In fact, since 2004 the car has only been driven 3,000 miles. The brake and gas pedal show zero wear and the car drives too straight and tight to have 140k on it in my humble opinion. The under carriage is very clean with no rust or corrosion. There are no leaks. The car comes with an additional set of new Chip Foose wheels and new BFG Radial T/A tires and tons of receipts from the last several years. So if you're looking for a very nice, dependable Corvette that will turn heads and won't break your bank, this is your car. No international bidders please. Good luck bidding!
